Congratulations to everyone who ran, sprinted, walked, run/walked, skipped, or hopped across the finish line of the Brooklyn Half this past Saturday. Harlem Run finished strong with over 85 registered runners, representing finishing times from 1:25 to 3:30! As we always say, there is a pace group for you. Thanks, everyone, for representing The Movement during one of the biggest half marathons in the country!
Also sending a HUGE shoutout and thank you to our Cheer Station at Mile 9. Cheering can be just as challenging and exhausting as running, so we really appreciate the love and support you all showed out there on the course. Remember Running Rule #1: If you can't run, you must cheer.
So, what's next? First, the Brooklyn love is not over yet! Be sure to join us for #MNR tonight, where we'll run through the Conservatory Gardens for a special Medal Monday. Be sure to bring your bling for an epic group photo.
Then, one week from today we'll be hosting one of our favorite events, our Annual Memorial Day Picnic on the Great Hill in Central Park. We'll start the picnic around 12pm (bring snacks!) and have relays at the end of the day for you to get your workout in. Gear will also be on sale, so bring cash if you want some new swag!
And last but certainly not least, our FAVORITE day of the year, the Harlem One Miler will be taking place in less than one month, on Sunday, June 18th at 9am in Marcus Garvey Park. As always, this event is open to individuals of all paces, ages, ability levels, and run crews. Bring the dogs, bring the family, bring all the fathers in your life and celebrate one of the best days of the year with us. Read more about the Harlem One Miler and register HERE!
Looking forward to seeing you all at the upcoming events, and as always, thanks for all the love & support! Love,
The HR Captains & Pacers
