Alison here! What an incredible few months we've had. I have to pinch myself every day to recognize that this is REAL LIFE. We went from a humble crew of 25 or so to now regularly hosting 50+ on our Monday night runs and our Thursday night speed sessions are gaining traction as well! You've probably seen different reporters joining us from Runner's World to ESPNW and you might have even seen a recent article about me at Black Fitness Today. We celebrated Adrian's 1000th day running, sang Happy Birthday to several members, welcomed some new captains into the fold and now here we are in October - ready to take on the TCS NYC marathon.
Whether you are running or not, we have several opportunities for you to get involved with all of the fun. The NYC marathon is that one time each year where everyone in New York is your friend - you don't want to miss this :) Please see below for information on each of our upcoming events and how you can get involved.
October 31st - Pre-Marathon Pasta Party @ Harlem United TICKETS (costume party, candy, all ages invited)
November 1st - Marathon Cheer/Fluid Station @ 135th St/5th Ave, Harlem - email firstname.lastname@example.org to join us!

I'm looking forward to running the marathon myself, hopefully as part of the Foot Locker Five Borough Challenge, and the ONLY thing I need is your support out there on the course. Let's show everyone what Harlem is all about!
